Simulated Milk Paints
Early American craftsmen created the very first Milk Paints. Using materials available to them,
milk products as a binder and natural earth pigments and dyes for color, they created a very practical coating.
The colors were strong and bright making them suitable for walls, trim, furniture, and crafts. The finish was
tough and durable as evidenced by its presence on many existing pieces of furniture from that period.
Simulated milk paints from Heritage Village Colors are a faithful reproduction of those early American paints.
Woodtone Stains in Paste
Heritage Village warm woodtone stains,
formulated in a polyurethane paste varnish, provide one-step color and protective finish. The stains
dry with a soft hand rubbed patina. The paste consistency allows for better color control and penetration
into the wood. The urethane base makes it the ideal finish for all interior wood surfaces; floors, cabinets,
paneling and furniture.
